Question 1 – How do I register for Phone Banking?


To register for Phone Banking call 1300 555 203 between 24 hours, seven days a week.
Remember: Once registered for Phone Banking, you are also registered for Internet Banking.  

Question 2 – How do I access Phone Banking?


Accessing Phone Banking is really simple.
  1. Call 13 33 22
  2. Enter your card or access number then press # (use your registered ATM, VISA Debit, credit card or Phone/Internet access card number)
  3. Enter your Phone/Internet security number then press #
  4. Follow the simple voice prompts to guide you all the way.
 

Question 3 – Are my Phone Banking transactions secure?


With all our stringent security measures on both Phone Banking and Internet Banking, you can rest assured that with BankSA your banking is safe and secure. In the unlikely event that an unauthorised transaction does occur (and it is clear you have not contributed to the losses from the transaction) BankSA will refund the full amount of the losses. Question 4 - Can I access Phone Banking from my mobile phone?


You can access BankSA Phone Banking from any touch-tone or mobile phone. So now, whether you are at home or on the go you will always be able to keep track of your money.  

Question 5 - Can I access Phone Banking from overseas?


Yes you can access Phone Banking from overseas. Simply dial +61 13 33 22 and you will be on your way.  

Question 6 – If I forget my security number what do I do?


Don’t panic! If you forget your security number simply call 1300 555 203 between 24 hours, seven days a week and one of our friendly consultants will help you arrange another.

 

Question 7 – Can I change my security number?


Yes, you can change your security number at any time simply by accessing Phone Banking and choosing option 4 and then option 1. In fact, for increased security we recommend that you update your security number regularly.

 

There are some rules to protect you when selecting your security number.

  1. Easy to remember numbers such as 1111 or 1234 can not be selected.
  2. Do not use your date of birth or other easily known personal information
  3. It is recommended that your phone and Internet Banking security number be different form any of your ATM/EFTPOS PINs.
 

Question 8 – What call charges do I incur when I call Phone Banking?


Whether you are calling locally, from interstate or from a mobile phone the most you will pay is the current local call cost.

Calling from overseas will incur normal overseas rates and charges.

 

Question 9 – What fees will I be charged when using Phone Banking?


All enquiries performed on Phone Banking are free. With certain accounts transactions are free from transaction fees. Special services may incur a minimal fee. All fees on Phone Banking are less than their Branch equivalent. So by using BankSA Phone Banking you will save yourself money.
 

Question 10 – Are there any transaction limits on Phone Banking?


BankSA has transaction limits in place for both Phone Banking and Internet Banking payments. These limits aim to give our customers greater security, and consistency so you know that regardless of how you choose to do business with us, either over the phone or via the internet, your options are the same.
