Switch to BankSA

Switch to BankSA today

Say goodbye to your old bank and experience truly great service with BankSA.

There are 4 easy steps to help you change regular payments to your BankSA account. Click on any one of the steps below to find out more.

1. Open a new BankSA account

Choose from our great range of everyday transaction accounts, then:

2. Arrange to have your salary paid into your new BankSA account

We've made it easy to let your employer know about your new bank account. Instead of drafting your own letter to your employer, consider using either of our two handy forms:

  • Download and print the Salary Transfer Request form. Authorise salary payment transfers to your new BankSA bank account by completing the form and providing it to your employer.
  • The Online Easy Switch Form generates a letter to be printed and forwarded to your employer. You'll also have the option to generate letters for regular debits and credits in the same easy online form.

3. Transfer your direct credit and debits

These are regular transfers set up with an organisation and might include your telephone bill, electricity bill, insurance payments or gym membership. There are a number of ways to transfer direct credits and debits:

  • Download and print the Direct Debit/Credit transfer request form and mail or fax it to your service provider.
  • Phone your service providers and give them your new account details.
  • Use the Online Easy Switch form to generate and print letters that can be sent to your service providers. You’ll need to have your account numbers for each provider handy. This easy online form also provides an option to print a letter to send to your employer requesting your salary be paid into your new BankSA account.

4. Close your old account

Allow time for your regular payments, salary deposit and periodical payments to transfer to your new BankSA account. Then contact your old bank to close your account with them. You can complete the Account Closure Request form and give this to your old bank. Welcome to BankSA!
